Sample Data

If you happen to install the evaluation version, you'll notice that sample data is not included. This is to shorten download time of the evaluation. However, if you would like some sample data, as referenced in the help system and some screenshots, download sample data here (43 MB, compressed to RAR format, RAR uncompress tools at ZDNet or RARLAB).

Product Demo Movies

Grab some popcorn and download one of these product demo movies! Most of the .avi format movies below were part of our exhibit at the August 2006 ESRI Users Conference. If you have any trouble playing these back, you may want to install a high-performance video CODEC. Newer movies are delivered in "RAR" format, a tool for uncompressing these can be found at this ZDNet site, or at the RARLAB download site.

• Load LAS movie   (3.8 MB) Shows how LAS data is added as a layer in ArcGIS^TM.
• Elevation display movie   (10.2 MB) Shows how LIDAR data can be colored by elevation.
• Classification display movie   (6.1 MB) Shows how LIDAR data can be colored by classification.
• Intensity display movie   (2.9 MB) Shows how LIDAR data can be colored by intensity.
• Colorband display movie   (7.7 MB) Shows how LIDAR data can be colored by elevation with a repeating color scheme.
• Point source display movie   (2.0 MB) Shows how LIDAR data can be colored by point source, which is usually an indication of the flightline.
• Profile view movie   (8.6 MB) An important part of the product is the profile view, with fast and natural navigation, as shown in this movie.
• Export wizard movie   (0.9 MB) Movie walks through the steps for exporting LIDAR data to other formats.
• 3D viewer movie   (10.9 MB) A movie of the very-cool-looking 3D viewer.
• GIS Fusion^TM movie   (9.1 MB) GIS Fusion^TM is our term for projecting other GIS layer color values into a 3D view of the LIDAR data, as shown in this movie.
